Randi Pintoff recently received a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University, specializing in the fields of labor and public economics. Her research agenda encompasses a variety of aspects of the justice system as well as a wide range of social policy questions. Her current research is the Economics of Crime, with an emphasis on juvenile crime. She has addressed such questions as the role of peer effects in juvenile correctional facilities, the impact of interactions with the justice system on education outcomes, and the effect of juvenile incarceration on recidivism behavior. 

She holds an M.A. in Economics also from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Columbia University .
