Leadership and Management

The teaching of leadership and management lies at the very core of OEP's mission to develop a well-equipped, results-oriented, and responsible cadre of public servants. Toward this goal, the Office develops cutting-edge leadership and management training programs for federal agencies and private organizations that respond to themes found within the President's Management Agenda. OEP programs are developed with the perspective that an agency's workforce and leadership are the keys to the successful delivery of public services. Often times, program curriculum is designed to provide participants with training in the Executive Core Qualifications, a set of skill competencies developed by the Office of Personnel Management and thought necessary for advancement within the federal government. Recognizing the value placed on Strategic Management of Human Capital, our programs are designed to address leadership development at multiple levels - individual, interpersonal, organizational, and cross-organizational .

OEP leadership and management programs combine traditional academic formats, case studies, interactive discussions, small group and experiential learning, assessment data, and individual leadership development planning. Programs are created in conjunction with the client agency to ensure that skill competencies specific to the agency and to a participant's function within that agency are developed. Program sessions focus on building an environment in which both federal and private sector employees drive for results, provide optimum customer service, and continually build and develop successful teams and coalitions within and outside their organizations.

OEP leadership and management programs combine traditional academic formats, case studies, interactive discussions, small group and experiential learning, assessment data, and individual leadership development planning. Whether your agency is looking to prepare leaders for entry into the Federal government's Senior Executive Service or to provide instruction on foundational management skills for your company's aspiring leaders, OEP will work with you to provide a program that achieves maximum value.
