The teaching of leadership and management lies at the very core of OEP's mission to develop a well-equipped, results-oriented, and responsible cadre of public servants. Toward this goal, the Office develops cutting-edge leadership and management training programs for federal agencies and private organizations that respond to themes found within the President's Management Agenda. OEP programs are developed with the perspective that an agency's workforce and leadership are the keys to the successful delivery of public services. Often times, program curriculum is designed to provide participants with training in the Executive Core Qualifications, a set of skill competencies developed by the Office of Personnel Management and thought necessary for advancement within the federal government. OEP leadership and management programs combine traditional academic formats, case studies, interactive discussions, small group and experiential learning, assessment data, and individual leadership development planning.
