Candidates for all OEP for-credit programs will be jointly selected by the client agency and the School. The School will use its standard admissions criteria to select students for all programs. (The University requires that all applicants for Masters degrees have, at a minimum, a Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution, with at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average. The standard for MSPP is higher; typical entering classes at the School have a median GPA of 3.5. If the applicant already has a Masters Degree, the 3.0 undergraduate GPA requirement may, with strong justification, be waived . GRE scores are not required for admission, except in special circumstances.) Participants pursuing a certificate program should be experienced in public policy work and have earned a degree in public policy or a related field. In addition to a candidate's academic record, the School considers a candidate's work history and recommendations from supervisors. Admissions to a certificate program may be restricted at times due to capacity limitations. Several of OEP's programs do qualify for continuing education credits. OEP will work with the School, client agency, and the participant to arrange for the award of CEUs. |
