During Operation Iraqi Freedom, reporters were permitted to travel with the U.S. and British military and cover the war from the soldier's perspective for the first time since the Vietnam War.  The "embed system" was controversial from the start and its successes or failures are still being debated.  These links probe war reporting and embedding from the perspective of former or current war journalists.
